These fun and sporty, non-slip headbands are made by competitive runner and mother, Liz Sweeney, of North Wales, PA. She was tired of constantly having her headbands fall out in races and workouts, so after her last headband mishap, she became determined to find a solution. She did extensive research on different types of headbands and found which materials were key in designing them to stay in place. After ordering everything she needed, including her first sewing machine, she diligently taught herself how to sew. Within a week Bellabandz was formed and the spare bedroom was turned into a makeshift "sewing factory". It was not hard to choose the name either, as her daughter Bella, also an athlete and runner, began wearing a new pattern to school daily, becoming her best promoter.

Bellabandz now has over 1,000 patterns and designs suitable for every sport, cause, and school and continues to add to their line every month. Each band is handmade and sewn individually by Liz. The key ingredient that keeps them from slipping off is the soft velvet backing. Every headband is machine-washable, so getting sweaty or messy is not an issue, its encouraged!

Custom design is also a specialty of Bellabandz. Many companies, youth and university athletic programs now have their logo on custom Bellabandz to promote their team or brand. Liz also enjoys making headbands for local fundraisers and carries patterns to support awareness for various causes. Being an avid runner, she loves to give back to her running community by donating Bellabandz to local races as prizes, as well as to special charities and other holiday events.
